Color cosmetics

Color cosmetics are makeup products, such as lipstick, eyeshadow, and blush, that add color to the face to change how it looks, rather than caring for the skin underneath.

Unlike skincare, which focuses on cleansing or moisturizing the skin, color cosmetics are about adding color and shaping the look of the lips, eyes, and cheeks. Korean beauty brands, long known abroad for skincare, are now pushing color cosmetics into more overseas markets as part of their global expansion. Many newer color products also claim added skin benefits like hydration, but having extra ingredients does not automatically mean better results, so it helps to check the ingredient list.
